El 10 de Mayo de 1958, el artista santandereano Víctor Valencia Pinto, daba sus últimos toques a un magnífico óleo del entonces Presidente de la República Doctor Alberto Lleras Camargo. El maestro viajó a la capital de la República con el fin de hacerle personalmente la entrega del retrato al Doctor Lleras.
